Michal is an invited expert and representative on several technical and governance bodies for certification systems, including the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil and the Forest Stewardship Council, among others.

Hans brings over 30 years of operational and C-suite experience in corporate law, banking, and impact finance across Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia. He has lived and worked in the Netherlands, Singapore, and Jakarta, gaining deep expertise in international markets and sustainable finance. Before joining Lestari Capital, Hans was an international Mergers & Acquisitions lawyer at Loyens & Loeff before transitioning to Rabobank Group, where he held various local, regional, and global leadership roles. As part of Rabobank's "Growing a Better World Together" strategy, Hans developed a strong passion for climate and impact finance. He led the incorporation and operational launch of the $1 billion AGRI3 Fund, an initiative aimed at combating global deforestation. Throughout his career, he has specialised in bridging strategy development with seamless execution, ensuring operational excellence on the ground. Hans holds a Master’s degree in Law from Leiden University and several postgraduate & executive education certificates.

Tzan Chiu (“TC”) brings to Lestari Capital the benefit of over 25 years of deep experience in corporate law. Prior to joining us, she served as the Regional General Counsel for Cargill in Asia Pacific. TC oversaw the legal affairs of Cargill's businesses in the region with her diverse legal team across nine countries. As a well-versed and accomplished lawyer, TC advised the company across a vast range of subjects, ranging from commodities trading, manufacturing and operations, treasury and finance, to acquisitions and joint ventures including its palm plantation business in Indonesia. TC holds an LLB with Honors from the University of Bristol and is called to the Bar in the UK, Malaysia, and Singapore.

James Stokes is the Director of Business Development at Lestari Capital, where he leverages his extensive expertise in banking, capital markets, and financial markets to deliver innovative, market-driven solutions. Previously leading BNP Paribas’s APAC Corporate Solution Sales, he honed his ability to manage cross-border financial strategies and build strong client relationships—experience he now channels into bridging market gaps with tailored solutions at Lestari Capital.

Leading Lestari Capital’s Technical Team, Ophelia oversees the technical development of Project Team’s portfolio in diverse mechanisms to build and improve natural climate- and natural-based solutions, including from carbon to nature crediting options. Ophelia brings a deep expertise in conservation, REDD+, spatial planning, and project design and development, having worked on tropical and sub-tropical land use projects in Asia and Latin America since 2001. Dr. Wang has worked in broad areas of GIS and remote sensing, information management system development, conservation prioritization for spatial planning, forest monitoring, land use mapping, spatial analysis, spatial modeling of habitat connectivity, sampling design, data management, and capacity building.

Tommy oversees all aspects of finance, group accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management and internal control. For 13 years, he worked predominantly in the upstream Oil and Gas industry, advising C-suite, BU Heads, and Senior Management on projects including feasibility studies, M&A, fundraising, and cost cutting. Tommy is proficient in financial modeling, cash flow optimization and strategic planning, enabling teams to have more robust discussions and higher confidence in decision making. Prior to his time in Oil and Gas, he was an accountant in Nestle and Sinar Mas. His qualifications include ACCA, a Bachelor’s Degree from Deakin University, and an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School.

Darren leads Lestari Capital’s investment platform and strategy. He is primarily responsible for deal sourcing, financial structuring, and overseeing the evaluation and execution of investments. Prior to joining Lestari Capital, Darren was at BNP Paribas in Singapore and the United States, where he worked on investment banking transactions for clients in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) sectors – covering M&A, advisory, leveraged buyouts and structured lending. Darren holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.

As head of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Service Outcomes, Chela oversees the technical development, review and continuous improvement of actions to support ecosystem service outcomes for nature, climate and community. Chela brings expertise in biodiversity management and conservation, ecological restoration and the application of nature-based solutions. She has 15 years of experience working to develop high quality practical solutions for the conservation and restoration of diverse ecosystems in Southeast Asia and Australia. Chela holds a PhD in terrestrial Ecology and has recently completed the IUCN Professional Certificate in Nature-based Solutions.

Ankit Gaurav is a seasoned carbon project developer based in India, with over a decade(10+ years) of experience spanning nature-based solutions, renewable energy, and clean cooking initiatives across Asia-Pacific, Africa, the Middle East, and South America. Before joining LC, he served as the Senior Technical Manager for APAC at EcoSecurities, where he led technical development for carbon projects in Asia Pacific countries like Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Timor Leste, and Laos. With a strong academic background in Environmental Science and Environmental & Water Management, Ankit brings deep expertise in carbon accounting, forest inventories, feasibility studies, and digital MRV systems. His work spans multiple carbon standards, including VCS, CDM, Gold Standard, and GCC. A regular contributor to global climate forums such as UNFCCC COP 23 and COP 24, Ankit is passionate about advancing sustainable, high-impact climate solutions aligned with the SDGs.

Tito manages a team and reports directly to the CEO on the implementation of RSPO solutions, R&D in other sectors to capture new opportunities bringing in new clients, and the engagement of key government institutions in Indonesia. Prior to joining us, in Indonesia he worked for various institutions such as the House of Parliament and the Ministry of National Development Planning. He also brings experience of working in the Amazon Forest in Brazil, and in the USA in Chicago's think thank to advise Chicago's river revitalization project. Tito holds a BSc in Environmental Engineering from ITB, and a MSc in Environmental Policy from the University of Chicago.

Agnes is Head of Special Projects under COO Office at Lestari Capital, working alongside the leadership team to drive strategy, streamline operations, and strengthen organisational excellence. With over a decade of experience in private sector development and business with social impact, she brings both strategic insight and practical know-how. Before joining Lestari Capital, Agnes was a Principal Business Consultant for PRISMA - a DFAT Australia funded program, helping design initiatives to agriculture supply chain and economic growth in Eastern Indonesia. Agnes holds a Master’s in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the London School of Economics, awarded through the prestigious Chevening Scholarship.

Razi has 16+ years of experience in sustainable management and protection of natural resources and ecosystems, climate change, nature protection and biodiversity. He has 14+ years of experience in spatial data analysis and land use plans, including information management system development, ecosystem functions, carbon storage and areas important for biodiversity. He also has extensive experience on community involvement with land use participatory planning, especially on the issue of tenurial conflict resolution, and land consolidation.​

Marion brings 11 years of experience in Communications, Marketing, and Intercultural Management, combining strategic expertise with hands-on execution. She holds a Master’s in Translation & Intercultural Management and is fluent in French, Greek, English, and Spanish. Specialising in nature-based solutions for the past eight years, Marion leads Lestari’s communications and stakeholder engagement, advancing nature-positive investments that benefit communities, businesses, and ecosystems. Previously, as Director of Communications at Livelihoods, she strengthened the company’s visibility in climate finance and sustainable sourcing. Before that, she led marketing efforts in energy-efficient mobility at WeNow. Passionate about impact-driven storytelling, she is committed to positioning Lestari as a leader in sustainable finance and community-led conservation.

Surya manages the development, onboarding and implementation of various typologies of projects within Lestari Capital. Prior to joining Lestari Capital, Surya worked at International NGO and International Social Enterprise, a B corporation company, coordinating agroforestry, restoration, afforestation, mangrove restoration, coral restoration and community-waste project across Indonesia and PNG. Surya holds a Master's degree in Organic Agriculture with a focus on Agro-ecology from the Wageningen University & Research, The Netherlands.

Sisil has over nine years of experience in environmental, climate change, wildlife ecology, and conservation education. At Lestari Capital she focuses on project management and overseeing project onboarding and implementation in Rimba Collective. She helps support the alignment of the Finance Department with the project team in project budget development and to work closely with Senior Livelihood and Community Benefits. Sisil also supervises the Project Officer and provides capacity building through training and mentoring to help prepare the Project Officer to be resourceful and independent in managing their own projects. She is an awardee of USAID/CIFOR Master's Degree Fellowship, where she received her Master of Science in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Florida.

As a Senior Geospatial and Biodiversity Manager, Devara is responsible for developing strategies and approaches to generate biodiversity outcomes and monitoring metrics across the NBS program portfolio. He leads a team of analysts providing state-of-the-art quantitative data and geospatial analyses. A remote sensing and GIS specialist with over 10 years of experience in various sectors—including industry, NGOs, and academia—he has worked on agroforestry and biodiversity conservation projects in Indonesia, West Africa, and Europe. Devara holds a bachelor's degree in Cartography and Remote Sensing from UGM and a master's degree in Environmental Modeling and Management from Lund University, Sweden, and ITC-University of Twente, the Netherlands.

Aditya is part of NBS Teams that support for Geospatial NBS Data Preparation and Analysis. He has over five years of experience in the geospatial and remote sensing fields (Government, NGO, and Private Sector), focusing on geospatial analysis and environmental management. His experience includes geospatial modelling, spatial statistics, database management, environmental assessments (e.g., HCV and HCS, PDD Carbon Project Development, and sustainability evaluations), landscape projects, and integrated spatial planning. Aditya holds a bachelor's degree in Cartography and Remote Sensing from the Department of Geographic Information Science at Gadjah Mada University, which he received in 2019.

As a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Data Specialist, MM leads the implementation of MEL Framework and Data Systems Strengthening initiatives, including the design, collection, management, analysis, and visualization of program data support strategic decision-making and drive program improvement. MM brings extensive experience in the design and implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) in the development sector, with a strong background in strengthening data systems across multiple sectors, including Health, Education, Humanitarian Assistance, and Environmental Sustainability. Prior to joining Lestari Capital, MM worked as a MEL Specialist at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Regional Development Mission for Asia's MEL Team and also has experience working with a range of international agencies and organizations, including PEPFAR, UNAIDS, the 3MDG Fund, and the Gates Foundation, across countries in Southeast Asia.

Min Yee is passionate about all things accounting and finance. Having started off her career in the world of banking as a personal financial advisor she then cut her teeth in Accounting. While pursuing the globally recognised CPA (Australia) qualification, Min Yee demonstrated maturity and discipline by also working at a consulting firm. In this integral part of her career, she honed her skills in full sets account preparation, cashflow management, budgeting, and process improvement. Craving a challenge, Min Yee then joined a start-up crypto firm as a junior accountant. A firm believer that the world is changed by example, Min Yee strives to enact positive changes by bringing her ‘A’ game to everything she does.

Sidiq has over eight years of experience in forest conservation, restoration, and biodiversity monitoring in the private sector. He has worked in both the palm oil and industrial forest plantation industries. Before joining Lestari Capital, he worked at Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) Sinar Mas, where he supported wood product chain-of-custody systems and sustainability certification schemes such as PEFC and SVLK. At Lestari Capital, Sidiq serves as a Biodiversity Outcome Manager in the TD&A team. In this role, he supports conservation and biodiversity monitoring, restoration activities, as well as MEL. He holds a degree from UGM, specializing in Forest Resources Conservation, and a Master’s degree in Forest and Nature Conservation from Wageningen University in the Netherlands.

Jia Yun is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA Australia) and an Accredited Tax Practitioner (Income Tax & GST) in Singapore. With over seven years of experience, she specialises in full set accounting, consolidation, payroll, GST reporting, and audit support. She began her career in an outsourced accounting firm, where she gained broad exposure to clients across diverse industries—from SMEs to MNCs. At Lestari Capital, Jia Yun is dedicated to ensuring accurate, efficient, and value-driven financial operations that support informed decision-making and business growth.

At Lestari Capital, Nidya oversees the legal matters across the organisation's diverse range of businesses. She is a certified lawyer in Indonesia with 9 years of experience in both private practice and in-house roles. Before joining Lestari Capital, Nidya worked as an associate at an international law firm, advising both international and domestic clients on project financing and various corporate transactions. She then transitioned to an in-house legal counsel role at a leading tech company, where she led the legal operations team and managed a wide array of matters including business expansion, financing, and joint ventures. Nidya holds a Bachelor of Law degree from Padjadjaran University, and a Master of International Business Law degree from the University of Leeds.

Dita has over six years of experience in project management, stakeholder engagement and research on sustainable commodity production, sustainable supply chains and forest fires. Prior to joining Lestari Capital, she worked as a Research and Project Associate, where she conducted studies on various environmental issues including forest and land fires and sustainable commodities to support jurisdictional, forest- and climate-friendly development. At Lestari Capital, Dita is responsible for overseeing the development of projects in the Collective and Solutions pipeline and supporting the management of the Project Department. Dita holds a Master's degree in Environmental Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from the University of Melbourne, Australia.

Ange coordinates and manages all the project portfolios and implementation in Malaysia. She brings more than 10 years of experience in biodiversity and natural resources management focusing on policy making, nature-based solutions and conservation finance. Before joining Lestari, she was the Programme Analyst for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei Darussalam where her primary focus was developing and implementing environmental projects from international and public funds through effective engagement with the government and various stakeholders. She holds a Masters by Research (MRes) from University of Nottingham in Environmental Science.

Listy has a solid foundation in project management and stakeholder engagement, with more than five years of experience in enhancing agricultural practices and access to finance. At Lestari Capital, Listy is responsible for overseeing the project implementation under the Rimba Collective. Prior to joining Lestari Capital, Listy worked as Senior Business Consultant for an Australia-Indonesia partnership program, where she managed key partnerships with multi-national companies and Agri-Tech startups in improving agriculture MSMEs’ access to reliable agricultural information and finance.

Radhya brings over five years of experience in project management with a focus on sustainable agriculture and market integration. As Project Manager, she oversees the implementation of multiple projects within the Rimba Collective portfolio, ensuring they meet performance targets in line with international standards, including the Climate, Community, and Biodiversity Standards (CCBS). She also supports project operators to enable effective budget management and robust monitoring and evaluation processes. Radhya holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Animal Science from Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, earned in 2017.

Fadilla Annisa Harahap has a background in forestry economics and sustainability, and holds a Master’s degree in Forest Management as an LPDP awardee. She has experience working with community-based forestry through the Ministry of Environment & Forestry, supporting program implementation and engagement with local stakeholders. She also worked at APRIL Group in operational cost monitoring and benchmarking, contributing to data-driven decision-making within large-scale forestry operations. Her work includes supporting project implementation, applied research on incentive-based forest conservation schemes, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams. At Rimba Collective, Fadilla supports the implementation of landscape-based initiatives that connect conservation finance, sustainable forest management, and community livelihoods.

Ahmad has six years of experience in forestry, conservation, and sustainable supply chains across NGO and private sector projects. Ahmad previously worked at Proforest, supporting upstream and downstream companies in meeting responsible sourcing commitments, and earlier years Ahmad has worked on wildlife projects across Indonesia. At Lestari Capital, Ahmad oversees implementation risk management for the Rimba Collective portfolio, ensuring projects stay on track and aligned with portofolio goals. Ahmad holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from ITB and a master’s degree in Forestry with an honours track in Sustainable Development Diplomacy from Wageningen University, The Netherlands.

Kana supports the execution of communication strategies at Lestari Capital, with a focus on the Rimba Collective mechanism. In her role as Communications Project Manager, she coordinates with a network of specialized communication consultants and service providers, ensuring that all outputs align with brand, messaging, and engagement strategy. Kana holds a bachelor's degree in Indonesian Language and Literature and brings over seven years of experience in communications and digital marketing, particularly in the fields of marine conservation.

Gracia has over nine years of experience in inclusive business and rural development in Indonesia and Timor-Leste. Previously, worked with The Palladium Group on PRISMA and MDF programmes, Gracia led strategies for crop and livestock value chains that have increased incomes for 100,000+ households across the region. She holds a Bachelor of Economics from Universitas Indonesia and is passionate on delivering impactful initiatives. Now, at Lestari Capital Gracia is part of the Technical Development & Assurance team, advising on livelihood and community benefit plans to create multi-stakeholder collaborations that drive sustainable economic growth.

Clarissa has a background in sustainable agriculture, agroforestry, and food systems, with experience working with smallholder farmers in development projects. She is passionate about gender and social inclusion issues. Her role is as a Community Specialist in the TDNA team, supporting community livelihoods, gender inclusion, and M&E. She holds a Biology degree from ITB, specializing in Ecology, and a Master’s in Organic Agriculture specializing in Agroecology from Wageningen University.

Deshelley plays a pivotal role in the Investments team, specialising in deal sourcing, investment evaluation, due diligence, fundraising, investor relations, strategic planning, and portfolio management. Prior to joining the team, she worked in the investment banking division at Barclays New York, where she contributed to projects across sectors such as nature-based solutions (NBS), battery storage, hydrogen, sustainable materials, and food & agricultural technology. Deshelley graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Management. She is passionate about advancing sustainable innovations and driving measurable climate impact through strategic investments.

Pascal is a Senior Officer General Affairs at Lestari Capital, working under the COO and Head of Special Projects to drive operational excellence, streamline procurement, and ensure seamless logistics. With seven years of professional experience in sustainability and development, he brings robust financial and operational expertise. Prior to LC, Pascal served as Country Admin & Finance Referent at PUR, a certified B Corp, overseeing financial operations and compliance in Indonesia. Earlier, he was an Administrative Officer for PRISMA, a DFAT funded Australia Indonesia partnership managed by The Palladium Group, supporting large scale projects covering procurement, finance, and logistics. Anastasya Ayu Wulandewi is a seasoned professional blending her hospitality expertise with a newfound passion for conservation. Transitioning from the dynamic world of hospitality, Anastasya now serves as a Human Resources Associate at Lestari Capital, where she applies her skills to support the organisation's mission of environmental preservation. With a commitment to fostering a sustainable workforce, Anastasya is dedicated to creating a workplace culture that values both people and the planet.

Rahman works within Lestari Capital’s Ecosystem Outcomes Team where he assists in developing and maintaining networks with project partners for onboarding process by working closely with the team to prepare projects to achieve Ecosystem Service Outputs (ESOs). Rahman brings his experience when working with private companies, mainly PT. Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper as Health Safety and Environmental officer to support monitoring HCV and sustainable areas in the concession, and his experiences when in NGO as a community development coordinator handling activities in the social forestry group. Rahman holds a Bachelor's degree in Forestry Faculty and continued his Master's in Environmental Science at the University of North Sumatra.

Cheryl graduated with a degree in Marketing, during which she developed a strong interest in sustainability and the environment. She volunteered with PM Haze, an NGO dedicated to combating the haze by empowering village communities to restore peatlands through sustainable palm oil practices. During her time there, Cheryl contributed to the creation of educational videos about the benefits of Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO)-certified palm oil and participated in outreach efforts to educate local F&B vendors on its advantages. After graduation, Cheryl continued her career in the sustainability sector, first as a Business Development Advisor at GreenA Consultants, followed by a role as an Office Assistant at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Singapore.

Indrawan brings more than 20 years of experience in landscape conservation, HCV, HCSA, GIS, remote sensing, and carbon accounting. Indra has previously worked in a range of roles for organizations including CIFOR, UNDP, FAO, Tropenbos International, The Nature Conservancy, Zoological Society of London, and RSPO.

Shafira has a strong background in renewable energy, climate finance and social entrepreneurship. She previously worked for New Energy Nexus Indonesia as Program Manager, where she led the development and implementation of various programs to support clean energy startups and innovators in Indonesia.

Ayik has been engaged in academic research for more than decades in the linguistic area in which she presented her papers about Foreign Language Learning in Conférence International sur le Français (CIF) in 2022. She is actively being a volunteer for some Indonesian non-profit organisations such as farmer organisations, a woman empowering organisation, entrepreneurship organisation and an international sustainability environment organisation. She dedicated most of her carrier in international educational field, but she also ever assigned as an operational manager in an Indonesian bank. She also worked for a Belgium NGO as a HR and Operation Officer, and she is fluent in English, French, Bahasa Indonesia, and Javanese. She reached Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers from Cambridge University United Kingdom in 2012. At Lestari Capital, Ayik assists the project team by managing and organizing a range of project-related tasks. Along with identifying project risk and creating plans to mitigate it, Ayik coordinates with the team members to maintain and ensure the timely completion of tasks.

Via works closely with the Senior Manager of Solutions and Strategic Engagement to conduct research on building business cases of forest conservation from agro-commodities, and on finding alignment with relevant government policies and regulations. Previously, Via has worked at the Research Center for Climate Change, University of Indonesia, where she led a research project that investigating the relationship between agricultural production and biodiversity in tropical rainforest areas. She holds a BSc in Biology from University of Indonesia, and an MSc in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science from Lund University.

Vivian Lines has lived in Asia for more than three decades and specialises in helping organisations and governments communicate effectively with their stakeholders. He is Executive Director of Paradigm Consulting and was previously Chairman Asia Pacific and Vice Chair Global at Hill+Knowlton Strategies. In addition to working with companies on their communication strategies, he also undertakes training in different aspects of communications, including disaster management. Vivian holds an MBA from Duke University, an MA in Political Science from Georgetown University, an undergraduate degree from the University of Kent, and a Financial Times Non-Executive Director Diploma. He enjoys writing on aspects of corporate governance and ESG and he is also a board Director of Opera Hong Kong.

A Co-Founder of Lestari Capital, Gary provides strategic guidance and leadership as the Chairman of the Advisory Board, drawing on more than 25 years of experience working on sustainability issues in Indonesia. Gary is a founding partner of Daemeter, a leading consulting firm in Indonesia, which provides smart solutions to policy makers, international institutions, NGOs and private sector clients. Gary holds a PhD in Biology from the University of Michigan and leads Daemeter's program in sustainable palm oil, combining research, outreach and training with diverse stakeholder groups.

Daraius brings 30+ years of international banking experience, across a diverse set of countries spanning 4 continents. He brings extensive Board level experience in finance, strategy, risk management and corporate governance, as a chief operating officer in the investment arm of HSBC. Daraius continues to work with financial institutions on coaching and training C-Suite members in aspects such as Conduct Risk and Culture Change. Daraius has an undergraduate degree from the University of Exeter and a Financial Times Non-Executive Diploma. He currently spends his time between France, Hong Kong and Thailand.

Atalanta coordinates the Technical Development and Assurance team at Lestari Capital, supporting the organisation’s technical delivery and standards. She is passionate about sustainability, particularly fashion sustainability, sustainable development, and the protection of the natural environment. Prior to working with Lestari Capital, she gained experience volunteering with schools in Kenya and working with a charity focused on rehabilitating wounded veterans. Atalanta holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Newcastle University, where she focused on sustainability, humanitarianism, and youth-led change.

Zatia is an Investment Associate with over five years of experience in climate finance and environmental asset management, specializing in carbon and nature-based solutions. She previously worked as a Pipeline Analyst, where she managed and assessed a portfolio of projects across Southeast Asia, focusing on project feasibility, financial modelling and stakeholder engagement. In her current role, Zatia supports the evaluation and onboarding of projects, conducts investment and market analysis, and contributes to the development of conservation finance opportunities across the region.
